"The buzz on Broadway is that the pre-Thanksgiving stage reading of the musical Superstar was one of the hottest showings of new material in years and has many industry insiders talking. The show looks like it's on a fast track to Broadway." Producers are looking for a regional theater with an unexpected opening in their 2009 schedules to premiere the show prior to a late 2009/early 2010 Broadway Opening.

Presented by Michael T. Fiur Productions in association with Nederlander Presentations, Inc. and StarGames, Inc., Superstar was conceived by Moises Roberto Belizario and has an original Book, Music and Lyrics by Jason Michael Webb, Lelund Durond Thompson and Moises Roberto Belizario, all three, new Broadway authors. The reading was directed by Denis Jones, and featured Mario Cantone in the title role of the show's "Host," Spencer Hamilton.

In addition to Cantone, the stellar cast included a number of seasoned Broadway performers, and was comprised of Tracey Conyer Lee, Angela Karol Grovey, EnRico Rodriguez, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Brian Hissong, Nicholas Ryan Rowe, Celina Carvajal, Nick Sullivan, Katie Cass, Kimberly Hamby, and Carlton Taylor.

Superstar is the ultimate interactive theatrical experience. Capitalizing on the cultural phenomenon of reality television talent contests, Superstar brings to life the story of six finalists in a heated talent competition. With its radio-ready, contemporary score and lyrics, Superstar artfully blends the on-stage reality show with all the backstage drama. Incorporating romance, conflict, plot-twists and foul play - everything they don't show you on TV - Superstar captivates audiences of all ages - entertaining traditional and non-traditional theater-goers alike.

Driving the competition is the audience - an integral part of the show itself, in that, EVERY NIGHT THE AUDIENCE VOTES - live during the show - and on any given night, ANYONE can win!

Over 300 people attended the two readings at NEP Penn Studios (home of the Maury Povich show), which immediately placed the audience in the television studio setting in which Superstar takes places.

The show is being General Managed by Stuart Thompson Productions.
