Mamie Gummer Set for Recurring Role on WGN's America's MANHATTAN

Deadline reports that Mamie Gummer has signed on for a recurring role on the second season of WGN America's MANHATTAN.

Sam Shaw created and pens the drama series helmed by Thomas Schlamme which follows a "mission to build the world's first atomic bomb and the brilliant but flawed scientists and their families in Los Alamos."

Gummer will take on the role of Nora, described as "a beautiful, street-smart spy who is sent to the Hill as a liaison to Jim Meeks (Christopher Denham) and uses her charm and sexuality to pass atomic secrets to the Soviets."

The actresss has most recently been seen in the films 'Taking Woodstock' and John Carpenter's 'TheWard and Twelve Thirty'. Her TV credits include the 'The Map' on ABC, EMILY OWENS, M.D. on The CW and the John Adams miniseries on HBO. She also appears on the new FOX drama 'Backstrom."

Her theatre credits include Les Liasons Dangereuses, The School of Lies, Hunting and Gathering, Uncle Vanya, and The Water's Edge.
