Malik Yoba will star opposite previously announced Tony Award-nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Bernarda Alba, Rent) in the New Group's production of  Zvi Rosenfeld's Everything's Turning Into Beautiful, which will run from July 17th through August 26th at the Acorn Theatre in Theatre Row.

Everything's Turning Into Beautiful, written by Rosenfeld (The Flatted Fifth) and featuring songs by Jimmie James, is "a musical story of two songwriters facing their forties and failure - and the possibility of new love," states the New Group's website. Keen Company artistic director Carl Forsman is set to direct.

Yoba's theatre credits include His Woman His Wife and What's on the Hearts of Men; he is also the founder of the Malik Yoba Theatre company, formed in 2004.  Perhaps best known for his performance in the film Cool Runnings, he has also been featured on "New York Undercover," and other TV appearances include "Thief," "Girlfriends" and "Arrested Development."
