Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member and writer Colin Quinn will return to the New York City scene when he debuts his new one-man show "Long Story Short" directed by Jerry Seinfeld. The show will play a limited engagement at Bleecker Street Theatre (located at 45 Bleecker Street between Bowery and Lafayette Street) for eight weeks only with performances beginning Saturday, June 19th and playing through Sunday, August 15th.

Covering more than 2000 years in 75 minutes, Long Story Short is Colin Quinn's hilarious look at the ups and downs of great civilizations gone wrong. In this one-man sendup, Quinn channels comedic personalities of nations past, offering satirical takes on the attitudes, appetites and habits that toppled powerful empires. Charting a comical course from the excess of ancient Rome to WalMart/Costco/BestBuy, Quinn proves that the forces undermining the American empire are as old as time. Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, the moral of Long Story Short is that the greatest Empires of history, like most people, have a basic approach to life and never really change, even if it is clearly leading them to ruin.

Running 75-minutes without an intermission, the show is produced by Columbus 81 Productions and features set and projection design by Aaron Rhyne, sound design by Scott Elmegreen, and lighting design by Perchik Kreiman-Miller.

The performance schedule will be as follows: Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm with matinees on Saturdays at 4pm.

Tickets prices begin at $65 and will be available through Telecharge (212-239-6200 or www.telecharge.com) and at the Bleecker Street Theatre Box Office (212-260-8250). "Day of
Performance Student Rush" tickets offered with valid ID.
