The Town Hall's first-ever Summer Broadway Festival presents "A Night at the Operetta," on Monday, July 16, at 8pm.  Created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, with musical direction by Fred Barton, A Night at the Operetta features the great melodies of Sigmund Romberg, Rudolf Friml, Victor Herbert and other beloved composers from such classic operettas as The Student Prince, The Enchantress, Rose Marie, Sweethearts, The Desert Song, and The New Moon.

The impressive cast that has been assembled includes Marc Kudisch and Christiane Noll (fresh from their acclaimed performances in The Witches of Eastwick); Gavin Lee (Tony-nominee for Mary Poppins), Mark Jacoby and Sarah Jane McMahon (NYCO's The Pirates of Penzance), Paul Schoeffler (Sweet Charity), Manu Narayan (Bombay Dreams), Rebecca Eichenberger (The Phantom of the Opera), Douglas Ladnier and Ludmilla Illieva (award-winning cabaret stars), William Michals (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Karen Murphy (All Shook Up), and opera star John Easterlin.

"I've wanted to create an evening of all operetta music for a very long time," said Scott Siegel, the creator/writer/host of Town Hall's Broadway Summer Festival. "Whenever we've done a little bit of it," he added, "either in 'Broadway by the Year' or 'Broadway Unplugged,' the audience really responds.  This classic early Broadway music is rarely performed but it's a rich and beautiful legacy that I think will be thrilling to hear when we present it on The Town Hall stage with this gifted cast."

In the Town Hall tradition as The People's Concert Hall, tickets are available at $40 and $30  for this all-star show through TicketMaster, 212-307-4100, or www.ticketmaster.com, or by visiting the Town Hall Box Office between noon and 6 PM (except Sundays) at 123 West 43rd Street, 212-840-2824.
