An "unapologetic badass with a touch of Springsteen" (The Guardian), Kip Moore walks the line between modern country and arena rock while delivering wildly popular tunes (including three No. 1 hit singles, "Beer Money," "Hey Pretty Girl," and the breakout hit "Somethin' 'Bout A Truck"). The multi-platinum singer/songwriter rocks Deer Valley's Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater on July 24 as part of the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights concert series. Concert starts at 7 p.m.; gates open at 5:30 p.m. For tickets: 435-655-3114 or www.BigStarsBrightNightsConcerts.org.

A constant road warrior, Moore is consistently "met with more deafening applause" (CMT). He comes to Park City in the wake of a sold-out string of headlining shows in The UK and Ireland while also joining Miranda Lambert on the road for her "Keeper Of The Flame" tour. Not slowing down any time soon, Moore recently announced his headlining "Me And My Kind" tour, which is slated for this fall.

No matter where the road takes him, Moore always comes to every stage armed with a live show that mixes the bombast and wild desperation of Bruce Springsteen and the rootsy stomp of Merle Haggard - a sound that bangs as hard as it twangs. Despite his heavy touring schedule, The Georgia native also found the time to deliver a sophomore album last year.

"Wild Ones" landed on a slew of "Best Of" Lists, including Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Rolling Stone and Taste Of Country. The album's tracks delve into new territory for the raspy-voiced star, revealing dynamic, self-aware songwriting and a grittier rock edge. As one AP reviewer puts it, "Of all the backward-ball cap-wearing male country singers, Kip Moore takes the dirt road less traveled."

And that pioneer spirit meshes well with Utah's July 24 holiday.

"Kip Moore is an artist forging his own musical path, creating a swagger-filled sound that appeals to country and rock fans alike," says PCI executive director Teri Orr. "What better way to celebrate Pioneer Day than with a modern-day pioneer?"
