Following yesterday's announcement by The New York Post that X FACTOR host Khloe Kardashian had been axed from the show, her sister Kim, insists there's no truth to the rumors.

"A lot of people say a lot of incorrect things on the daily," she told TMZ today.

Whether or not Kim's statement is ultimately true, as of now, doesn't mean a whole lot. Prior to judge Britney Spears confirming that she would not be back for Fox's singing competition, reports went back and forth for weeks before the official announcement was made.

A spokesperson for X Factor commented yesterday on the report, saying, "The producers have not yet made the talent decisions for this year."

Should Kardashian not return, she will not be the only member of the 'X Factor' team not reenlisting for next season. Last month, Spears made her departing announcement, while two-time judge L.A. Reid announced his departure last December. The record exec explained that he wanted to spend more time focusing on his job as head of Epic Records.

Simon Cowell, the show's creator, must now scramble to restaff the series prior to the upcoming third season. Rumors have surfaced that British singer Cheryl Cole, who was originally cut from the show's first season, is in talks to appear on the judge's panel for Season 3. The singer, who was a judge on the U.K. version of "X Factor", had previously filed a $2.3 million lawsuit against the series, claiming she was still owed money after being fired just a few weeks into the first season.

Cowell has recently admitted he has regrets over the decision to let Cole go last year. "I had to apologize for the way it was handled," he told reporters.
