On this morning's fourth hour of TODAY, host Kathie Lee announced that she has written TODAY the musical! "It's going to be live and it's going to be so much fun," said the Broadway producer.

Following the success of NBC's "Sound of Music" last year and in honor of the highly anticipated "Peter Pan" coming to the network this December, Kathie Lee has written an 18-minute musical starring all the TODAY anchors and crew, as well as her former 'Live' co-host Regis Philbin, who sat in for vacationing Hoda on this morning's show.

The musical will be called "Not Today and Tomorrow's Not Looking Good Either," and will air sometime before the end of the year, which according to the show, "will give Regis enough time to memorize his lines and all the songs he'll be belting out on national television."

Produced for records by David Lai and Joel Fram with Executive Producers Kathie Lee Gifford and Jeffrey Finn, the SCANDALOUS Original Cast Album is produced for Shout Broadway by Douglas Denoff and Dennis Grimaldi.

Kathie Lee Gifford penned the book and lyrics for 2012's Broadway musical SCANDALOUS, which starred Broadway favorite Carolee Carmello. The music was written by David Pomeranz and David Friedman.

The production, which played Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre, also starred two-time Tony Award winner George Hearn (Sunset Blvd., La Cage aux Folles) as James Kennedy / Brother Bob, CAndy Buckley (Cabaret, After the Fall) as Minnie Kennedy, Edward Watts (Finian's Rainbow) as Robert Semple / David Hutton, Roz Ryan (Chicago, Dreamgirls) as Emma Jo Schaeffer and Andrew Samonsky (South Pacific) as Kenneth Ormiston.

SCANDALOUS was based on the life of Aimee Semple McPherson, the world's first media superstar -- a woman whose passion for saving souls equaled her passion for making sensational headlines and attracting overflow crowds of thousands throughout the world. Set in 1920's Los Angeles, holiness collides with Hollywood in this extraordinary tale of one remarkable woman's charismatic rise to fame amidst scandalous love affairs and growing controversy, inevitably ending in her much-publicized fall from grace.
