Actor, visual artist, dancer and performance artist John Kelly is garnering critical acclaim for his new show REBEL SONGS OF A RANGE QUEEN at Joe's Pub at The Public tonight, July 14 at 7:30 p.m.

In REBEL SONGS, Kelly showcases his masterful 3-octave range as he channels signature cabaret icons such as Kurt Weill and Charles Aznavour as well as more contemporary artists including Mr. Bungle, Jacques Brel, Holcombe Waller, The Good, The Bad, & The Queen, Joanna Newsome, The Clash, The Shins and more.

Upcoming special guests include downtown legends CAROL LIPNIK and MIGUEL GUITIERREZ.

John Kelly counts Alan Cumming, Joni Mitchell and James Franco among his fans. His credits include two Bessie Awards, two Obie Awards, a 2013 USA Artists Award, an Alpert Award, an Ethyl Eichelberger Award, and an Eliot Norton Best Actor Award. Fellowships include The Guggenheim Foundation, The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard, the Sundance Theatre Institute, the Rome Prize in Visual Art at the American Academy in Rome, and a Residence at the Park Avenue Armory.
