BroadwayWorld has just learned that Broadway favorite Jessica Phillips has signed on to be a recurring character on NBC's Law & Order: SVU. Phillips will play Agent "Pippa Cox" in this 15th season of the show.
Earlier this year, Phillips shot CBS pilot "The Ordained", FX pilot "Bronx Warrants" and the indie feature "La Vida Inesperada." She was seen last on Broadway in Leap of Faith opposite Raul Esparza.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episodes are often "ripped from the headlines" or loosely based on real crimes that have received media attention. Created and produced by Dick Wolf, the series premiered on NBC on September 20, 1999 as the first spin-off of Wolf's successful crime drama, Law & Order.

Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
