In a new interview with The Wrap, Jessica Lange reveals that she is "absolutely" open to the idea of appearing on a few episodes of the next AMERICAN HORROR STORY installment.

"If Ryan came to me and said, 'Would you want to do a small character for a couple episodes?' I would absolutely say yes," the actress tells the site.

For the last four years, Lange has appeared in a starring role on the FX anthology, receiving two Emmys, three Emmy nominations, a SAG Award and a Golden Globe for her efforts. In March, she announced at a PaleyFest panel that she would not return for the show's next installment, subtitled 'Hotel.'

The actress tells The Wrap that she would love to once again work with the show's creator Ryan Murphy, commenting, "This was a great collaboration, so I would love to keep working with him."

In a new interview with Deadline, Murphy also teases a possible return of Lange to the series, commenting, "Well, all I can say about that, never say never with Jessica. I think if I came up with something extraordinary for her, if I could come up with a great character, she's all about that, and she's told me that, if you have something great after I sort of get my rest, then let's keep talking, so I'll do that."

Lange and Murphy will be reuniting for an upcoming Broadway revival of "Long Day's Journey Into Night," beginning previews at the Roundabout Theatre Company next March.

The fifth season of "American Horror Story: Hotel," returns to FX in October. As previously announced, the show will star Matt Bomer, Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Cheyenne Jackson, Denis O'Hare and Kathy Bates, among others.
