Martinis Above Fourth Table + Stage in San Diego presents R&B Soul Singer, Star Search Winner and "Oprah Discovered" Jake Simpson in his new show, Love is in the Air (Supply) on Thursday, February 5.
Jake Simpson, Motown recording artist, two-time winner in the Adult Singer category on CBS's Star Search with his powerful high tenor voice and three-octave range, and recently featured on "Oprah: Where Are They Now" will be appearing for a one-night only performance on Thursday, February 5 at 8:00 pm.

Simpson returns to MA4 after his fabulous San Diego debut here last summer. His new brings a night of romance, love lost, and then love found again all told through the songs of Air Supply, Journey, Stevie Wonder and more.

After would-be pop star Jake Simpson finished his performance of Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours," the celebrity judges of CBS' 2003 Star Search revival were stunned, to say the least. Saying more than that, Naomi Judd exclaimed, "You make my molecules vibrate at a high frequency -- you're a sonic blast!" After an endorsement like that, how could he lose? The nationwide fan voting for Simpson was enthusiastic, and the young singer from Crocker, MO, walked away with the victory, receiving $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony/Columbia.

Simpson, with his phenomenal voice and charismatic personality, starred in the Roll & Roll revue entitled Arena: Born To Rock performing weekly at Rolling Stone Los Angeles in Hollywood and spent much of 2014 performing "Jake Simpson Live!" in residence at The Grove in Los Angeles. The fourth quarter of the year found him at the Rainbow Room in New York opening for Jennifer Holliday, at Birdland with Jim Caruso, The Cannery Casino in Las Vegas, and opening for the legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire on the CBS broadcast, A Hollywood Christmas at the Grove.

Simpson, who grew up in Crocker, Missouri, says that making music has been one of the most important driving forces in his life. His sound has been influenced by Stevie Wonder, Steve Perry, Donny Hathaway and the classic style of Sam Cooke. In addition to singing, Jake is an accomplished pianist.

Tickets for Jake Simpson in "Love is in the Air (Supply) on Thursday, February 5 are $20 and can be purchased online at www.ma4sd.com.
