Haul out the holly and celebrate a queer-tastic Christmas when the "darling of downtown cabaret" John C. Hume opens his heart, his home and his legs to spread merriment, good cheer (and his legs) in his new show, The John Hume & Friends Christmas Spectacular!

It is Christmas-time, and in the proud tradition of Judy Garland, Perry Como and Nat King Cole, John is televising his annual holi-gay fete to the Free World (and Red China). And YOU are invited! Accompanied by the incomparable Mila Henry on piano and an all-star cast of John Hume & Friends favorites (and a few new faces!), John will while away a winter evening with his signature withering wit, whilst the Friends enchant audiences of every age with their renditions of cherished holiday classics ranging from the likes of Irving Berlin to Wham! Will John drive the sleigh off the trail in a drunKen Blackout? Will Billy get his stocking stuffed? Will Kate try to steal a Sapphic smooch from Mila under the mistletoe? And who will play the Three Wise (but undocumented) Migrant Workers in the beloved "Living Nativity"? There's only one way to find out!

Join John and Company in this evening of stories and songs on Saturday December 14th at 8:00 PM at The Secret Theatre.

Featuring Mila Henry on piano, John will be joined by special guest stars: Tony Speciale (director of CSC's productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream with Bebe Neuwirth and Unnatural Acts); acclaimed singer-songwriter Gina Cimmelli; Lavinia Draper (Lavinia Draper at the Ice Palace); Brett Lowell (C'Mon, Get Pappy!); Miranda Wilson ("Chekov on the Hudson") and Billy Anderson, Chad Gneiting, Dane Jerabeck, David Pollack, Jeffrey Weber, Leslie Hendrickson, Jason Fitzgerald and Kathleen Dorman all performing a diverse roster of spoken word pieces (Sedaris, Frost) and, of course, all the timeless Christmas classics you know and love (with a few new twists!)

Presented by Femme Fatale Theater and The Secret Theater as part as Queer Not Cool, the ongoing performance series created and produced by Stephen Gribbin and Robert Ribar.

The Secret Theatre is located at 4402 23rd Street in Long Island City, Queens. Cheap drinks and food will be available for purchase. All guests are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy benefitting The Toys For Tots Foundation (http://www.toysfortots.org/).
