The Shakespeare's Globe repertory productions of William Shakespeare'sTWELFTH NIGHT and RICHARD III broke the house record of Broadway's Belasco Theatre for the seventh time in their final week on Broadway. The productions, which opened Sunday, November 10 to ecstatic and universal critical praise, grossed $946,432 for the week ending 2/16/14, breaking the house record of $914,365.50 the productions had set for the week ending 2/9/14. Twelfth Night andRichard III sold 250 seats a performance for $25 - a total of 2000 seats a week in the orchestra, mezzanine, balcony, boxes and on stage - making the house record figure especially noteworthy. Over 31,000 $25 tickets were sold throughout the run.
