'Grease' CD Released Today; Cast Performance & Signing 10/8

Celebrating the release of the New Broadway Cast Recording of America's favorite musical Grease from Masterworks Broadway, Max Crumm (Danny) and Laura Osnes (Sandy), winners of the hit nationally televised talent competition "Grease: You're The One That I Want," along with other featured Broadway cast will appear on Monday, October 8 at 6:30 PM at Virgin Megastore in Times Square (1540 Broadway).

The cast will perform 4 songs from the smash hit musical followed by a CD signing.  Buy the New Broadway Cast Recording beginning October 2 at the Virgin Megastore Times Square location to receive a wristband for access to the special in-store event on October 8.  Wristbands are limited – be among the first to get your CD!

The new production of Grease is directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall.  Its Broadway Opening Night was August 19, 2007 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), where it continues to play to sold-out audiences.

After 12 weeks of nationally televised auditions, 90 million viewers and millions of votes, Laura Osnes and Max Crumm are the ones that America wants to play the iconic roles of "Sandy" and "Danny" in the new Broadway production of Grease.  The two winners were announced during the live finale episode of the NBC talent competition series "Grease: You're The One That I Want" on Sunday, March 25, 2007.

This new Broadway Cast Recording from Masterworks Broadway is produced by David Lai.  The CD was recorded at New York's Legacy Studios on August 16 and will be released nationwide on October 2, 2007.
