GODSPELL Star Telly Leung Plays Birdland, 5/14

The Broadway at Birdland concert series today announced that Telly Leung, currently starring in Godspell, will be performing in concert on Monday, May 14 at 7pm. 

Telly Leung (Godspell, Rent, "Glee") will share his unique show business journey through the music that has inspired and molded him, performing his personal "playlist" in an eclectic evening of songs and anecdotes. Musical Director for the evening will be Gary Adler (Altar Boyz), and the evening will be directed by Alan Muraoka. 

Telly is currently performing on Broadway in Godspell.  Broadway & National Tour credits include Flower Drum Song (2003 revival), Sondheim’s Pacific Overtures (2005 Roundabout revival), Wicked (Boq – original Chicago company), and RENT (Final Broadway Company & Broadway Tour). Other credits include Angel in RENT at the Hollywood Bowl (directed by Neil Patrick Harris, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Wayne Brady), Song in M. Butterfly(Philadelphia Theater Company), Godspell (Paper Mill), The Bernstein Mass (Carnegie Hall / Kennedy Center), Give It Up! (world premiere, Dallas Theater Center), Barnaby in Hello Dolly! and Harold Bride in Titanic (The St. Louis Muny), Simon in Jesus Christ Superstar(Music Circus), Thuy in Miss Saigon (Pittsburgh CLO), and Lun Tha in The King And I(North Carolina Theater, starring Lou Diamond Philips).
