Recent ROMEO & JULIET Broadway headliner and recognizable stage and screen Rising Star Condola Rashad features in the new Egyptian-themed FOX series HIEROGLYPH and a First Look at the actress is costume is now available to view.

According to reports, HIEROGLYPH is set in ancient Egypt and centers on a thief who is taken from prison to serve the Pharaoh, played by Reece Ritchie. The 13-episode series combines fantasy and reality and involves sorcerers, the criminal underground, romantic scandals and more. HIEROGLYPH was created by Travis Beacham, who will produce alongside Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope and Miguel Sapochnik, the latter who is set to direct the pilot episode.

Rashad most recently appeared onstage opposite Orlando Bloom in ROMEO AND JULIET on Broadway in 2013. Additional Broadway credits include The Trip to Bountiful and STICK FLY, both of which earned her Tony Award nominations.
