The original Hermione herself has given Hermione 2.0 her official seal of approval.

BroadwayWorld previously reported that the upcoming West End play HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD had cast its three leads, including Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger. Fans may be uneasy seeing their favorite characters being re-cast since they fell in love with the film portrayals by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. However, fans should be at ease knowing that not only has author JK Rowling said she approves of the new casting, but Watson has also given Dumezweni her blessing.

"Can't wait to see Noma Dumezweni as Hermione on stage this year. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ #harrypotterandthecursedchild #2016," tweeted Watson.

Adult versions of the young wizards and witch fans love from the books and movies, Jamie Parker will play 36-year-old Harry Potter, with Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley, and Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger. Fans may be surprised at the casting of Hermione, as Dumezweni is African-British.
