Elizabeth Olsen Signs for Joss Whedon's AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

According to Bleeding Cool, actress Elizabeth Olsen has been tapped to play the role of Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. The Scarlet Witch, in Joss Whedon's big-budget sequel THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.

When talks with his original choice for the role, Saoirse Ronan, broke apart, Whedon turned his attention to the Olsen Twins' younger sister.

Filming for the superhero sequel is scheduled to begin in early 2014, with an eye towards a summer 2015 release.
