Once more, Dolly Parton has her sights set on Broadway.

The beloved country singer, who provided the music and lyrics for 9 TO 5, announced earlier today that not only will she soon embark on her first major U.S. and Canadian tour in more than 25 years - but she'll also debut a new biographical musical on the Great White Way.

"As a matter of fact, I just got the final scripts," Parton said, according to Nashville Public Radio. "I'm telling my life story as a musical, which I've written all the music for. A lot of the hits will be in it, but I've written a lot of new music as well."

For the last 20 years, Parton has only played select dates in the U.S., but her 2016 tour will cover cities across North America. As one of the hottest concert tickets of the summer, Parton's legion of fans are destined to sell out the shows quickly. Parton's set-list will include hit songs all while weaving in a few new songs from her double-disc album Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits. She will also be playing songs that have not been heard live for decades on the tour.

Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits 2-CD set will include all new material as well as a compilation of Parton's biggest hits. A track listing for Pure & Simple will be announced soon.

The Country Music Hall of Famer is on one of the biggest hot streaks of her career after her hugely successful TV movie, "Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors," attracted a network record of 15.8+ million viewers and was the most watched movie on network TV in more than 3 years. "Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors," will be released on DVD May 3.
