According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dane DeHaan and Rooney Mara will star in an original movie musical ZIGGY, from writer-director Diesel Schwarze. Set in 1920's New York, DeHaan plays a hunchbacked escape artist who falls in love with Mara's character, the fiancee of a wealthy, and powerful, media mogul.

Schwarze got his big break in film making working for Academy Award nominated director Baz Luhrmann on MOULIN ROUGE and LA BOHEME on Broadway.

Producer Lynette Howell said, "ZIGGY is one of the most unique scripts I've ever read. Diesel has written an incredibly beautiful and ambitious story, and his background working under Baz Luhrmann combined with his prolific commercial work, lends itself to bringing this story to life in a visually inspired and exciting way. We are so fortunate to have Dane and Rooney onboard to develop the music with us and create something truly original, contemporary and special." Read the whole article here.
