As humans, everyone encounters many situations, good and bad. They react based on their foundational principles and their surroundings. Their actions stem from the root of their upbringing, the lack and overflow thereof. Despite who they are, who they perceive themselves to be, or how others perceive them, life happens.

"A Poetic Blueprint" written by author Da'Shaun Charles was inspired with the intent to look at life situations and apprehend the fact that everyone enters and departs from life as individuals and yet share the same or similar life experiences. It addresses life occurrences using descriptive words of life situations that individuals face, biblical meanings of numbers 1-26, poetry about life situations and the emotions captured at the time of the situation, as well as journaling lines to reflect on emotions and feelings of one's own experiences.

This book provides a descriptive word per each letter in the alphabet. These words are things and/or experiences one encounters through their journeys of life. For each descriptive word, a definition is provided for any needed clarification. It also provides the number of each letter in the alphabet with the biblical definition of the number. There are twenty-six inspirational poems reflecting life situations, and journaling lines were added to encourage readers to broaden their outlook on words, interpret them, and relate them to their own life, which sustains an unpredictable journey.

Uplifting and inspiring, "A Poetic Blueprint" allows readers to relate the poems to life in general, whether it is their personal experiences or the experience of a family member or friend. It could be utilized as a tool for addressing life without the belief that the only option is failure.
