Comedy Central Renews Amy Poehler-Produced BROAD CITY for Second Season

Comedy Central has renewed its latest hit series, the critically-acclaimed scripted "Broad City," for a second season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, Comedy Central. The second season of "Broad City" will consist of 10 episodes.

"I didn't realize 'Broad City' was so good until I read all the incredible reviews," said Alterman. "Now I'm really excited about it."

"Broad City" launched to critical acclaim on January 22 and is currently in the middle of its first season with new episodes premiering on Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The series, created by Jacobson and Glazer, who executive produce along with Amy Poehler, 3 Arts' Dave Becky, Sam Saifer and Tony Hernandez, and is co-executive produced by Eric Slovin, averages 1.2 million total viewers per episode and is pacing to have the highest-rated premiere season on Comedy Central since 2012 with Adults 18-34 and 18-24, Men 18-34 and 18-24 and Women 18-24.
