Former "Saturday Night Live" and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn's one-man show, Colin Quinn Long Story Short, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, will extend its run at the Helen Hayes Theatre through Saturday, February 5th. Preview performances began on Friday, October 22nd and the show officially opened on Tuesday, November 9th. The show was initially scheduled to end its 11-week limited engagement on Saturday, January 8th.

Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, Colin Quinn uses his "articulate brand of comedy" in taking audiences through an uproarious history of the world in 75 minutes. From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, taking on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world's most powerful nations. Colin Quinn Long Story Short proves that throughout human history, the joke has always been on us.

Colin Quinn Long Story Short has been dubbed the comedy hit of the season, with no less than five newspapers calling the show "hilarious!" TIME Magazine says that "Quinn nails it! A polished act." "Brisk and Seinfeldian," says New York Magazine. "A Delicious witty feast of ideas," exclaims NY1.

Running 75-minutes without an intermission, the show is produced by Eva Price, Richard Martini, Bruston Kade Manuel & Will Dombrowski, Richard Winkler, George Shapiro, Matthew Salloway, Jack Thomas, Bisno/Frankel/Fireman, Dan Frishwasser, Avram Freedberg & Mary Beth Dale and Allen Spivak. The production previously played a successful engagement at the Bleecker Street Theatre from June 19th through September 4th. This marks Colin's return to the Helen Hayes Theatre, previously starring in Colin Quinn - An Irish Wake in 1998.
