Christopher Shinn's play, Four, is currently in the process of being adapted into a film by Joshua Sanchez.

Four premiered at the Royal Court Theater in London in 1998, and was then seen at the TriBeCa Playhouse in the summer of 2001 and at the Manhattan Theater Club in February of 2002, where it received rave reviews. Four juxtaposes the relationships of two couples struggling with their desires and demons on the American night of independence.

The New York Times included Shinn on their "Eight to Watch, Onstage and Off" list. Shinn's plays have been produced around the world, with 'Now or Later' premiering at The Royal Court Theatre in London in 2008.  He recently adapted 'Hedda Gabler' in the Roudnabout Theatre Company's Broadway production at the beginning of 2009.
