Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel will make his first visit to the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Monday, Sept. 9 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Emanuel was elected the 55th mayor of the "Windy City" in 2011. A former U.S. representative from Illinois, he served as White House Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama following Obama's election in 2008, a position he resigned in 2010 so he could run in Chicago's 2011 mayoral election, which he won. He is featured in the upcoming television documentary "The Presidents' Gatekeepers," in which, for the first time ever, all 20 living White House Chiefs of Staff come together to share their previously untold stories. The documentary spans nine presidential administrations and 50 years.

Also featured on the LATE SHOW Monday, Sept. 9 is an interview with actor and comedian Ricky Gervais and a performance by musical guest Janelle Monae.

The Late Show with David Letterman is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
