Cole Road Media/Tim Hurley will present an invitation-only reading of the new musical comedy Take One, with Book, Lyrics and Music by Jeff Ward (SNL's "Weekend Update," NPR); Michael Schiralli (Jackie Hoffman's The Kvetching Continues, Hit Her With The Skates at Hamilton Stage) directs, Nathan W. Perry is Music Director.

The cast features Rob Brinkmann (Take One at FringeNYC 2016), Carl Howell (Peter and the Starcatcher, 1st National Tour), Lacretta (Disaster, Book of Mormon), Claire Saunders (York Theatre's Marry Harry), Keith Varney (I Got Fired, Take One at FringeNYC 2016), Max Wilcox (Gigantic at The Vineyard), and Nick Wyman (Catch Me If You Can, A Tale of Two Cities, Sly Fox).

TAKE ONE is the story of the disastrous first versions of three great things. MICHAELANGELO, Richard Rodgers and GOD light up the musical stage in this story of the botched first versions of their greatest works. Sweeping in historical scope and thrillingly tuneful, TAKE ONE shows that the act of creation is always messier and more hilarious than we've been led to believe - even for the gods.

A music video has been released of Keith Varney, Carl Howell and Nathan Perry performing Jeff Ward's song, "You Make Me Feel Good." Check it out below!

Presentations on June 5th are at 2pm and 7pm. Further information about the reading and the show is available at TakeOnetheMusical.com.
