Variety is reporting that actors Bobby Cannavale and Sarah Paulson will be the new stars of the remaking of the ABC series "Cupid". The show was just picked up yesterday by the network. They also picked up the series "Castle" and "The Unusuals".

In "Cupid" Bobby Cannavale will play Trevor Hale a man who winds up in a hospital believing he has been sent to earth as the messenger of love and can not return to heaven until he unites 100 couples. Sarah Paulson will be playing the shrink assigned to his case.

The series will be a re-make of the 1990 series of the same name where Jeremy Piven played the role of Trevor.

Cannavale starred in The New Group's hit revival of Hurlyburly, garnered an Emmy as Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his turn as Vince on "Will and Grace." His other off-Broadway credits include F&*#ing A and A Flea in Her Ear. This spring, he will act opposite gal pal Annabella Sciorra in The New Group's Everything is Turning into Beautiful. Shall We Dance, Gloria, The Station Agent and "Third Watch" are among his film and TV credits.
