The nominees for the 24TH ANNUAL MAC AWARDS will be announced by veteran Cabaret and Broadway performers Titus Burgess (The Little Mermaid, Guys & Dolls), Doreen Montalvo (In The Heights), KT Sullivan (Lifetime Achievement Award, Mabel Mercer Foundation) and Lennie Watts (President of MAC and Director of MAC Awards Show).

Tituss Burgess has appeared in four Broadway musicals, most recently, The Little Mermaid and Guys and Dolls, and is known for his exquisite tenor voice. Burgess performed at the "Broadway for Obama" benefit concert held at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton, Pennsylvania, on October 20, 2008, and at the "Broadway After Dark" benefit concert on October 26, 2008 in New York City. He performed in a solo concert at Birdland in New York City this past summer, and was one of the star performers on the 2009 R Family Vacations Summer Cruise this past July. Mr. Burgess's solo recording, "Here's to You," is available on iTunes.

Doreen Montalvo can currently be seen starring in the 2008 Tony Award winning Broadway musical In The Heights. Doreen is also known for her roles on ABC's One Life To Live as Dr. Baez, and also on ABC's All My Children as the voice of Consuelo (the telenovela soap star), and Clara the Chandler Maid. Doreen is a theater performer and recording artist, and can be heard singing on many recordings. Her solo debut CD, "Volvere," with Meme Solis, wasselected for 2005 Latin Grammy and American Grammy consideration. She is also performing her "I"ve Just Got To Sing MY Song" show in cabarets all over New York City. She toured South America with the Elvis 2007 world tour as one of the Sweet Inspirations. Doreen has taken her solo cabaret act around South America, the Carribbean , Mexico, and up and down The Mississippi River.

KT Sullivan: The New Yorker calls KT Sullivan "as vocally, comically and theatrically assured as contemporary cabaret performers get." She recently appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC with Brian Stokes Mitchell in Broadway Today, at the Humanities Festival in Chicago with Dave Frishberg and at Carnegie's Zankel Hall with Michael Feinstein. She is an annual headliner at the Oak Room of New York's Algonquin Hotel, at Neue Galerie's Café Sabarsky on Fifth Avenue, The Rrazz Room in San Francisco, Pizza on the Park and Jermyn Street Theatre in London. KT has headlined at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center, and The Caramoor Festival. She has performed internationally at The Spoleto Festival, The Nouvelle Eve in Paris, The Chichester Festival in England and the Adelaide Festival in Australia. She was a guest star on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion and has seven albums in worldwide distribution on the DRG label. She received the "Mabel Award" for Lifetime Achievement from the Mabel Mercer Foundation and Liza Minnelli presented her with the Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs' Outstanding Female Vocalist Award. KT was named one of the top 100 Irish Americans by Irish America magazine and is married to outstanding Irish-American Steve Downey, President of the New York Browning Society.

Lennie Watts (Director, MAC Awards) is a 5 time MAC, 5 time Backstage Bistro, and 3 time Nightlife Award winner. He was a 2008 MAC Award nominee for Outstanding Major Cabaret Artist for his critically acclaimed "Manilow '73-'83" show. He is the only person to receive awards as an outstanding vocalist, director, producer, and booking manager. He has been active in the New York cabaret scene for over 20 years. In addition to directing in small cabaret venues, he has directed events at Symphony Space, Town Hall, and BB Kings. He has toured nationally and internationally with productions of "The Music Man" (Marcellus) and "The Wizard Of Oz" (Lion). He has performed at Town Hall in several concerts, including "Broadway Unplugged" and "Broadway By The Year, 1949", and can be heard on the cast recordings of both shows. As a theater director, he has directed productions of "Godspell", "Dames at Sea", "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and "Phantom". Watts is the creator of "cablab" and "Summer In The City (with Lina Koutrakos), both critically acclaimed professional cabaret performance workshops. David Finkle of "The Village Voice" calls him "A one man cabaret army!" He appeared on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show", and released his debut CD "I want... You want..." in 2000. He was voted "Best Male Vocalist 2008" by the members of Cabaret Hotline Online. He is currently the President of MAC.

The Live Nominee Announcement will take place on Thursday March 25th at 1:00 pm, at the Barnes & Noble at Lincoln Triangle, 1972 Broadway (at 66th Street). This event is free and open to the public.

The 24th Annual MAC Awards Show will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2010 at 7:30pm, and will be held at BB King Blues Club & Grill.
