Laura Benanti's forthcoming engagement at New York's 54 BELOW will be recorded and released by Broadway Records. "In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention: Live At 54 BELOW" will be released digitally on September 6th and on CD on September 10, 2013. The CD is now available for pre-order at http://amzn.com/B00CRU5YW0.

Following the tremendous success of her first solo show, which played sold out venues across the country, stage and television star Laura Benanti brings you a brand new piece, "In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention." Fusing theatre standards with pop music and original songs, Ms. Benanti's unique blend of humor and vocal nuance promises to deliver an unforgettable evening. Come see the performer critics call "brilliantly funny" with an "exquisite voice," and whose mother calls "very very good," in a night that she desperately hopes brings her the right kind of attention.

"Having Laura Benanti record her debut album as part of our 54 BELOW CD series is exciting for us as her contribution to the New York theatre scene is undeniable," says Kenny Howard co-founder of Broadway Records, "it also continues to further our mission to preserve amazing Broadway talent in the incredible intimate setting of 54 BELOW."

Laura Benanti's new album will be produced by Aaron Ankrum and executive produced by Van Dean and Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium, and Ken Mahoney. "In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention" is the latest in the "Live at 54 BELOW" series that started earlier this year with albums by Patti LuPone, Norbert Leo Butz, Christiane Noll and Andrea McArdle. Other announced recordings in the series include "The Radio In My Head" by Aaron Tveit and "When I Grow Up: Broadway's Next Generation". More albums in the series will be announced shortly.

Ms. Benanti will be performing at 54 BELOW on Monday, May 20th at 7:00pm, Wednesday, May 22nd at 7:00pm, Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00pm and 9:30pm, Friday, May 24th at 8:30pm, Saturday, May 25th at 8:30pm and 11:00pm.
