Full casting has been announed for Legally Blonde, The Musical, based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture. 

Joining the previously announced Laura Bell Bundy (Wicked, Hairspray) as Elle Woods are Christian Borle (Spamalot, Thoroughly Modern Millie) as Emmett, Orfeh (The Great Amerian Trailer Park Musical, Love, Janis) as Paulette, Richard H. Blake (The Wedding Singer, Hairspray) as Warner, Kate Shindle (Cabaret, Jekyll & Hyde) as Vivienne, Nikki Snelson (How to Save the World..., Sweet Charity) as Brooke and Tony-winner Michael Rupert (Falsettos, Ragtime, Sweet Charity) as Professor Callahan.

Legally Blonde opens on Broadway at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway) on Sunday, April 29, 2007.  Previews begin on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 following the world premiere, pre-Broadway engagement from January 23, 2007 through  February 24, 2007 at San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre.

Also featured in the cast are: Annaleigh Ashford, April Berry, Paul Canaan, Lindsay Chambers, Beth Curry, Tracy Jai Edwards, Amber Efe, Gaelen Gilliland, Jason Gillman, Becky Gulsvig, Rod Harrelson, Manuel Herrera, Andy Karl, Nick Kenkel, Michelle Kittrell, Leslie Kritzer, DeQuina Moore, Rusty Mowery, Kevin Pariseau, Matthew Risch, Jason Patrick Sands, Noah Weisberg, Kate Wetherhead, and Donna Vivino.

"Sorority star Elle Woods doesn't take 'no' for an answer.  So when her  boyfriend dumps her for someone more "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style," state press materials.

At the helm of the creative team of Legally Blonde is Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, who makes his Broadway directorial debut and will also choreograph. Music and lyrics are by both Laurence O'Keefe and Nell  Benjamin, and the book is by Heather Hach.  James Sampliner serves as music director.

The production features scenic design by David Rockwell, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller, sound  design by ACME Sound Partners.

The show is produced on Broadway by Hal Luftig, Fox Theatricals and Dori Berinstein, in association with MGM Onstage, Darcie Denkert and Dean Stolber.
