Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair, creators of last season's off-Broadway hit Murder For Two, recently rounded up a few friends to help them record songs from their next show, The More Things Change. Here's an exclusive sneak peek at what Kinosian and Blair have in the works.

The More Things Change is an original musical farce in the tradition of backstage comedies like Noises Off. Charles Cutler, an egotistical songwriter who has been coasting on his one big hit ("Lookin' Better") for the last forty-five years, decides to write, direct, and star in a Broadway musical detailing the history of how he came to write that song. But just before the curtain goes up on opening night, Anna Carter (supposedly the muse that inspired him) shows up with evidence that she in fact wrote the song. Anna blackmails Charles into letting her make a cameo onstage to set the record straight. What follows is a frenzied clashing of egos as the two battle it out onstage while trying to keep the actual show afloat.

Kinosian and Blair received Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle nominations for their show Murder For Two which opened at 2nd Stage Uptown in July, 2013, and then transferred to New World Stages (closing June 29, 2014). The world premiere took place at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre in 2011, where Kinosian and Blair were recognized with a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Musical. The duo also received the 2013 ASCAP Foundation Mary Rodgers / Lorenz Hart Award. Murder For Two is currently touring the country.
