Located in the heart of Manhattan, Park Central New York Hotel is merely steps away from Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Carnegie Hall, and all your favorite New York City attractions. Once host to Jackie Gleason, Mae West, Eleanor Roosevelt and Tommy Dorsey, Park Central has since gracefully evolved from the Roaring 20's to now the most modern generation.

After a complete multi-million dollar overhaul this summer, Park Central now competes with some of New York's finest in style, accommodation and most importantly, location.

Lobby

Upon entering, you are welcomed with an expansive yet warm and inviting lobby. Thanks to renowned architect and designer, Jeffrey Beers International, crisp, clean lines, contemporary architecture, elegant furniture and a spacious foyer allow the traveler to feel comfortable in modern sophistication. Staff are friendly, helpful, and more than equipped to handle each traveler's unique needs and requests in a swift and efficient manner. The "grab-and-go" shop conveniently located in the main lobby has an array of basic food, drink, and other necessities for quick on-the-go travel. Can't live without your Starbucks? Not to worry. There's one just outside the front door.

In a hurry to get to your room? The touch screen elevators offer the most advanced technology for speed and efficiency without long waits. At first, I was apprehensive to this new approach, but the ease and efficiency of the new system quickly sent me off to my room in no time flat. Every time.

Accommodations

The recent renovation unveiled 761 brand new rooms, sophistically outfitted with dark stained woodwork, fabric headboards, geometrically-patterned carpet, and meticulously updated bathrooms. They reveal modern and beautiful designs that appeal to every traveler. The walls are adorned with artwork of NYC's finest attractions and landmarks. Color throughout is an assortment of monochromatic grays accented by dark wood, white marble countertops and splashes of color within the mounted artwork. Soft tones create a laid back mood to relax and unwind after a long day in the hustle and bustle of the big city.

New rooms boast 46" Samsung LED Full HD televisions with On-Demand access, WiFi, comfortable Simmons Beautyrest mattresses, iDoc mp3 docking stations for the technology-minded, and plenty of desk space for the business traveler. Rooms are much larger than the average New York hotel, and offer stunning views of the city. Other amenities include an ironing board, hair dryer, refrigerator and coffee maker (upon request), and upscale C.O. Bigelow products in each bathroom. Quarters are clean and well-maintained and never lack for quick service when necessary.

Restaurant

Park Central New York presents Park Kitchen, an American Contemporary Restaurant featuring renowned Chef, Nathaniel Eckhaus. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the menu is varied and provides a wide array of dining choices from comfy favorites such as fried chicken and PB&J Toast to more sophisticated meats, fishes and side dishes. Located just off the main lobby, the atmosphere is welcoming yet elegant and contains a large, modern bar, hardwood floors, gorgeous intricate woodwork, contemporary tables, and cozy seating for more intimate lounging. Grand chandeliers hang like delicate spiderwebs with perfectly round bulbs for soft, elegant lighting. Whether sitting with your family, meeting new friends at the bar, hosting a business meeting, or enjoying private relaxation, the Park Kitchen suits all of your dining needs.

Prices are reasonable considering the location.

Fitness Room

Located on the 3rd floor, the fully-equipped fitness center boasts plenty of state-of-the-art Cybex treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, free weights, and weight machines. With ample equipment for cardiovascular or strength training, guests enjoy access 24/7 so they can be fit for the city that never sleeps. The room is clean, crisp, expansive and offers plenty of choices for the health-conscious traveler. And for the serious long-distance walkers, runners, or cyclists, Central Park is only a few blocks away where you can exercise or enjoy long, scenic walks throughout the most beautiful portions of New York City.

Meetings and Events
