This week on The Voice, with the contestants down to eight we got to have some special performances throughout the competition night. These special performances included:

Robin Thicke performing his new song "Feel Good", which you can watch here on The Voice Youtube Channel.

Tessanne, Will Champlin on the piano, Ray Bourdeaux and Cole Vosbury on his guitar singing One Day by Matisyahu, a soulful song that showed off each one of their vocal abilities.

Caroline Pennell, Jacquie Lee, James Wolpert, and Matthew Schuler singing Edward Sheeran's Lego House in a intimate performance space, singing the song. I love performances that are stripped of theatrics and show off singers' abilities, and this song did exactly that.

You can see these performances at nbc.com/thevoice!

Now, onto the solo performances!

The first solo performance was James Wolpert, who sang Queen's Somebody to Love, because, as he said "it's nice to have...somebody to love." Aww! We love songs dedicated to significant others. Adam praised James completely, saying he could join Queen tomorrow and it would work. He praised how dynamic he can be, and how he owned the performance, and that it completely blew Adam out of the way, and it was probably his best performance.

The next performance was Tessanne Chin, who took Christina's advice and sang Underneath it All by No Doubt and tied it to her Jamaican heritage. She sang a relaxed version of the song, and ended it with some big notes. All the coaches praised her tying her heritage with the song, and how soulful and how the song showed who she was instead of just belting a performance.

Up next was Caroline Pennell, singing The Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine. Personally, I've been waiting for this! This is right in her wheelhouse and it's perfect for what kind of artist she wants to be. CeeLo praised Caroline, and even wrote her a speech that included "if you win nothing else, you win because you won my heart." I love coach love! That's such a great thing to have in a partnership.

Cole Vosbury was up next, singing I Still Believe In You by Vince Gill. The song was simple, and showed off his vocals incredibly well. Blake praised the emotion of the performance, and told Cole he did country proud tonight. Not a bad thing to hear from Blake Shelton!

Matthew Schuler sang next, performing It's Time by Imagine Dragons, and this time, brought choreography into the performance! Christina praised him for connecting to the songs he sings and really feels the songs. She explained that she brought the dancers in to "embody his urgency." CeeLo also praised him, telling him to continue to be himself, because he's doing a "damn good job!"

Up next was Will Champlin, singing At Last by Etta James. Adam praised Will, saying that no matter how challenging a song is, Will always wants to do it. Christina agreed with Adam, and said she "eat, sleeps, and breathes that song". She praised him and said that she loved seeing a guy sing Etta James.

Ray Bourdeaux sang Gimme Some Lovin' by the Spencer Davis Group, which earned him a standing ovation from his coach, Blake. All of the coaches agreed that this song showed that he had swag, leading Carson to rename Team Blake "Team Blake Swag Shelton." I think it has a ring to it!

Jacquie Lee closed out the night with Who's Loving You by the Jackson Five. She was also given a choreographer to work with. Christina praised the soul in her voice, and Adam said that he heartbreak she shows means she needs to meet a nice guy, which CeeLo agreed with.

And that's it for competition night! As always you can vote online or find out different ways to vote at nbc.com/thevoice until 11 AM. Who will be in the bottom three tomorrow - that's up to you!
