Amy Adams to Be Honored at 2014 Costume Designers Guild Awards

This year's LACOSTE SPOTLIGHT AWARD will be presented to five-time Academy Award® nominated actress, Amy Adams. Adams has built an impressive body of work including Spike Jonze's Her opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Paul Thomas Anderson's 2012 film, The Master. Adams' role in The Master garnered her a Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination in addition to her fourth Academy Award® nomination.

Adams recently won a Golden Globe for "Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy" and a Critics' Choice Award for "Best Actress in a Comedy" for her performance in David O. Russell's American Hustle. She and her fellow castmates including, Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence, took home the award for "Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture" at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Adams' role has also garnered her an Academy Award® and BAFTA nomination for "Best Actress in a Leading Role." Michael Wilkinson, Adams' Costume Designer for American Hustle, has also received an Academy Award®, BAFTA and CDGA nomination for his work on the film. Additionally, Adams' Costume Designer for Her, Casey Storm, earned his first CDGA film nomination this year.

Adams' other film credits include The Fighter, Enchanted, Man of Steel, Doubt, Julie & Julia, Robert Lorenz's Trouble with the Curve opposite Clint Eastwood; Walter Salle's adaptation of Jack Kerouac's seminal beat generation novel, On The Road; Disney's The Muppets opposite Jason Segel; Shawn Levy's Night At The Museum: Battle of The Smithsonian opposite Ben Stiller; Christine Jeffs and Karen Moncrieff's critically acclaimed film Sunshine Cleaning opposite Emily Blunt and Alan Arkin; Mike Nichols' Charlie Wilson's War opposite Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Phillip Seymour Hoffman; Bharat Nalluri's Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day opposite Frances McDormand; and Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio.
