A FUTURE IMPERFECT Opens at New York Fringe Fest Today

"A Future Imperfect," an 80-minute drama/comedy, has its world premiere at the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC today.

The law cannot protect you - if indeed you are even you! As an oppressive government regulates human contact, humanity's future deteriorates into turbulent uncertainty. This suite of four satirical and foreboding accounts asks, "Can humanity save itself from itself?"

Written by William S. E. Coleman, the play's geographically diverse creative team includes Director Allison Moody, Producer Justin Colon, Stage Manager Charlie Moore, Authorized Company Representative Deborah Unger, Lighting Designer Robert Sambrato, Costume Designer Sam O'Brien, and Graphic Designer Rodolfo Reyes.

The cast, in order of appearance, is as follows: Julia Kelly, Eric Whitten, Tym Moss, Dave Coleman, Catherine Cobb Ryan*, Justin Colon, and Kristin Shields*. "A Future Imperfect" is an Actors' Equity Approved Showcase. * Denotes members of Actors' Equity Association.

Performances of "A Future Imperfect" are at Venue #5: The Celebration of Whimsy, formerly The Living Theatre located at 21-A Clinton Street (between Houston and Stanton). Performance dates are as follows: today, Saturday 8/10 at 7:00 pm, Tuesday 8/13 at 7:30 pm, Friday 8/16 at 4:30 pm, Saturday 8/17 at 5:30 pm, and Wednesday 8/21 at 2:00 pm.
