Nominations in 26 competitive categories for the American Theatre Wing's 64th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony"® Awards were announced on May 4, 2010 by Broadway Star Lea Michele and Tony Award Nominee Jeff Daniels.

The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards are bestowed annually on theatre professionals for distinguished achievement. The Tony is one of the most coveted awards in the entertainment industry and the annual telecast is considered one of the most prestigious programs on television.

Broadway: Seven Guitars, The Piano Lesson, Gem of the Ocean (Tony nomination). Regional: Seattle Rep, Denver Center, Goodman, Huntington, Mark Taper Forum (Ovation Award, Gem of the Ocean), Oregon Shakespeare, Crossroads Theatre, Indiana Rep, Yale Rep, Milwaukee Rep, The Acting Company, New Mexico Rep, Shakespeare Santa Cruz and Seattle’s Intiman Theatre and ACT. She taught costume and scenic design at the University of Washington and UC Santa Cruz, designed artwork for Broadway’s The Piano Lesson and Seven Guitars and was an associate artist for Signature's August Wilson Season. She resides in Seattle with her and her late husband August Wilson’s daughter, Azula Carmen Wilson.


David Zinn (In the Next Room or the Vibrator Play)

Recent theater and opera: sets and costumes at ART, Berkeley Rep, Mark Taper Forum, ACT, Seattle Rep, San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera, New York City Opera, Guthrie Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, Curtis Institute of Music and the Yale Repertory Theatre. Nominated for Lortel, Hewes and Helen Hayes awards. 2008 Obie Award for sustained achievement.
