1812 Productions, Philadelphia's all comedy theatre company, is pleased to present its ninth annual gala fundraiser Eventa du Schmancy featuring 1812 Productions' signature Bad Song Cabaret. Hosted by Philadelphia favorite Scott Greer, The Bad Song Cabaret showcases a collection of some of the worst pop songs performed by Philadelphia's funniest performers. With material ranging from The Shangri-Las and Diana Ross to Sir Mix-A-Lot and Taylor Swift, The Bad Song Cabaret will feature performances by the master of ceremonies, Scott Greer, 1812 Productions' Producing Artistic Director Jennifer Childs, Langston Darby, Aaron Cromie, Tabitha Allen, Tracie Higgins, Alex Bechtel, Dave Jadico, Andrew Nelson, and Chris Hajinian.
The evening will begin at 6:00pm with cocktails by Philadelphia Distilling and hors d'oeuvres, followed by dinner from Drexelbrook Catering. At 8:00pm, The Bad Song Cabaret will begin along with a silent auction and basket raffle featuring some fantastic prizes including deluxe items from Samsung, Chadds Ford Winery, Scarlett Alley, The Philadelphia Eagles and more. More than 50 individuals, businesses, and organizations have generously donated items for the Eventa du Schmancy silent auction and basket raffle. Glenn Gundersen, president of 1812 Productions' board of directors, says of the event, "There may be schmancier galas in Philadelphia, but none is likely to be as much fun as 1812's Eventa. It's an evening true to 1812's signature style-utterly original, smart, and whimsical-and a fitting salute to the end of a hugely successful season of 1812 theatre. If you had a great time at Intimate Exchanges, This Is the Week, Patsy's Bingo, or To The Moon, you'll want to top off the year at Eventa, and help support next season's terrific slate of 1812 shows."Videos
