16th Street Theatre Extends AGREED UPON FICTIONS Thru 11/02

16th Street Theater's Jeff Recommended, world premiere of AGREED UPON FICTIONS written by Shayne Kennedy and directed by Megan Shuchman has been extended through November 2, 2014 at North Berwyn Park District's 16th Street Theater, 6420 16th Street in Berwyn. Katie is a good mother. She's a natural Good Samaritan in her quiet suburb, and her family is happy and secure. But when the most vulnerable member of the community is revealed as a threat, Katie's instincts lead her to try to protect both her neighbor and her family, leaving no one feeling safe.

AGREED UPON FICTIONS has a running time of 85 minutes. No intermission. Moderated post-show dialogues take place following Thursday and Friday shows.

SHAYNE KENNEDY (author) is 16th Street Theater's 2014 Playwright-in-Residence. Her plays Plans to Form a Human Chain Faltered and The Unexpected were produced by The Shelterbelt Theatre in Omaha and her St. Jude and the Hopeless Cause was produced at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as part of the inaugural New Ways/New Works Festival.Shayne's Christmas Cookies was produced by Angels Theatre Company in Lincoln, Nebraska. She is a member of the a.s.k./tell playwrights collective, a Chicago Dramatists Network Playwright and a member of Dramatists' Guild. Shayne is an Audio Describer for the blind and has worked at Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens and The Merle Reskin, among others. Agreed Upon Fictions was developed through Stage Left's Leapfest IX in the spring of 2012. Shayne sings in two bands, The Kennedy Compound, and its smaller spinoff, The Compound Fracture. She lives in Oak Lawn with her husband and three children.
