WASHINGTON, May 24, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ Chief White House correspondent for The New York Times, Peter Baker, will appear at a National Press Club Headliners event on June 29th at 6:30 pm in the club's Conference Rooms to discuss his new book, Obama: The Call of History.

With the transition from former President Barack Obama to President Donald Trump still fresh in the country's mind, Peter Baker, who covered Obama for all eight years of his presidency, will discuss his new book that Amazon calls an "authoritative history" and "the first complete account of the Obama presidency."

In addition to Obama: The Call of History, Baker has authored several other books chronicling major political figures and events including Kremlin Rising: Vladimir Putin's Russia and The End of Revolution; Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in The White House and The Breach: The Impeachment and Trial of William Jefferson Clinton.

This event will feature a discussion with the author, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Tickets are $5 for National Press Club members and $10 for the general public.
