Thriller Live - Tribute to MJ passing#1
Posted: 6/26/09 at 8:34am
The Lyric Theatre in the West End where Thriller Live plays and the Manchester Opera House will dim its lights tonight in tribute to the passing of Jacko.

Both the productions in London and Manchester will go ahead tonight and a minute's silence will be held in the theatres

Sad news indeed, no matter what he did or didnt do he was one of the greatest artists of our time and along with Madonna was the last of the Pop Icons.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

I think he was a bit better than that tired old warhorse Madonna.

Maybe they can put some decent money into the production now.

Not exactly a fitting tribute.

The producers must be beside themselves now!

PS and at least Madonna has some respect for what she does to her body and is actually able to work.

alterego madonna is amazing, and just because shes 50 does not make her tired, if she is still producing good music (she is) great stage shows (she is) and people are still talking about her (they are) then shes doing something right.

Even if we agree that Hard Candy was not her best work, Ray of Light and Music have both been produced in her latter career, (certainly since the release of Invincible), so she has managed to sustain her creativity!

And Like a Virgin is probably the only song that could match Thriller for iconic status in the 1980s and 90s.

She may be mad as a coot, but at least she is still working.

I dont think shes mad at all, i think she happens to be one of the smartest people in showbiz who knows how to play the media and us and give us exactly what you want.

I do agree she had a bit of a slip with Hard Candy, not the best but not her worst (Bedtime Stories im looking at you), but it did have some great songs on, 4 mins, Give It To Me, Miles Away, Shes Not Me etc

And i think after the amount of albums shes done shes allowed a slip up here or there, the one before was Confessions On A Dance Floor which was amazing

It is crazy to see how Michael and Madonna turned out. The king of pop's fame slipped years ago, hes not produced anything decent for over a decade and went bonkers
Shes held it together, raised a famaily (which she seems to have done very well) is still getting number 1 singles (in a world which thinks you should be on the slag heap after your 12 lol) and has the highest grossing tour by a pop star ever

She never had a monkey though grrrrrr, well not everyone can be perfect

Maybe mad isn't the word, but insufferably self-indulgent and up her own arse when you are unlucky enough to hear her talking instead of singing. And I'm really not sure about this adoption thing.

Oh, and I like Bedtime Stories!

And I heard she did have a gorilla... but I shouldn't repeat that rumour here!
