Hey Everyone! Just wondering if anyone else has ever heard anything about this show. I know the show as I did an amateur production a few years back, but just wondering if anyone saw the west end run. I believe it was at the Aldwych back in '82, having transferred from the Royal Exchange in Manchester. Can anyone shed anymore light on it?
Thanks, Joe

Aldwych Theatre 1982
Ran just 6 months and has never been done professionally since. Had a great cast led by Tom Courtney.
It transfered from The Royal Exchange in Manchester.
A cast album was made but only released on LP not CD.
It was avery funny show -almost like 'Corrie' on stage!
I saw it 3 times and each time the audience was less and less. I think the critics layed into it seeing it as not of a standard the West End was used to and that the subject matter was much better suited 'up North!'. The small i audiences i saw it with loved every second.

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
