The Les Mis concert was ruined at The Vue in Hartlepool tonight, because the sound for the whole of the first act was out of sync.
Strangely the back projected screens were perfect but the on stage shots were so far out that it was impossible to watch.
The duty manger blamed the weather, which must have got better as the 2nd act was ok.
Any similar problems elsewhere?

We had the same problem at the o2 during the first show. The screens where acting odd until they switched them off for most of the first act. They blamed a generator problem. For us who were siting far in the back it was a real pain. the sound was strange also. We couldn't hear Mr. Jonas in One Day More (some like me would say that we couldn't hear him anyway during the whole show).
In my heart, I found the answered dream, and in my soul I found the song, and in my friends I found the magic, the love, the moon up above- they were mine, all mine, all along..!

I was at Hartlepool as well and it was so frustrating. I'm glad they got it sorted for the second act, but I had my eyes closed for most of the first.

We thought of complaining but never did - is it worth it? It's not like it was cheap!

YES complain. You paid good money to see a less than standard presentation.

I couldn't hear Nick Jonas and I was actually there. That wasn't due to any sound issues though...the boy just can't sing!

I was also at the O2 on Sunday, for both performances, and, with the exception of "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" Nick Jonas was really difficult to hear, indeed, was drowned out by the orchestra in a couple of songs. His voice sounded a bit thin, and when you compare it to Michael Ball when he sang at the end, I'm afraid Mr. Jonas came off the poorer in the comparison.

I didn't think he was awful, but his voice was not strong. As I said, his "Empty Chairs..." was fine.

Was the concert filmed and/or recorded for CD release? Thanks in advance.

It was filmed for a DVD release, and is aavailable for pre-ordering from Dress Circle.

He can't sing? I beg to differ.

There's a big difference between being a 'Studio' singer and a 'Musical' singer.
NJ had no stage presence and didn't 'Act' the lyric in any way.
He may well sell the DVD in the 'States' but I think that with hindsight he may well regret doing the concert.

I'm still interested to hear from anyone who experienced Lip-synching problems at the cinema

The lipsyncing was fine with the performers but was noticably out when you saw the big screens. I guess there is some digital delay there that is magnified watching video of video. They can fix things like that for the DVD though.
I saw it at Vue Eastleigh.

I agree and I would like to hear a worse Marius...
