'Wicked' UK Box Office Hits 5th-Highest Grossing Week

The smash hit musical Wicked, at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre, has just enjoyed its 5th highest grossing 8-show week since opening in September 2006.  For the week ending October 27 2007, the production grossed £667,383 ($1.373 million US). 

Now in its second year, Wicked has already been seen by over 885,000 theatregoers, grossing over £32 million ($65 million US) at the Box Office. 

Wicked has been voted 'Best New Musical' at the annual Theatregoers Choice Awards and 'Best Musical' at the People's Choice Awards. 

Wicked  stars Kerry Ellis as Elphaba, Dianne Pilkington as Glinda, Oliver Tompsett as Fiyero, Susie Blake as Madame Morrible, Nigel Planer as The Wizard, James Gillan as Boq, Andy Mace as Doctor Dillamond and Katie Rowley Jones as Nessarose.
