On Your Honour, a brand new comedy with a farcical flavour from the longstanding writing partnership of Colin Wakefield and Roger Leach, will receive its UK première in a limited season at Jermyn Street Theatre from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 29 September 2007. Confusions, intrusions and collusions abound in a frantic evening's entertainment.

"Featuring a group of lawyers gathered together for a weekend conference in a hotel, On Your Honour has misunderstandings, narrow escapes and attempted sexual infidelity in equal measure combined with an unusual undercurrent of family reconciliation and personal discovery, which takes us on a rollercoaster ride to an unexpected conclusion," as the show is described in press notes.  "Hugo desperately wants to be a High Court Judge and has organised the conference to impress the new Lord Chancellor, who still has considerable influence when it comes to judicial appointments. Nick, who also happens to be the Lord Chancellor's son-in-law, has invited a beautiful young solicitors' secretary along for the weekend, which threatens not only his marriage, but Hugo's plans for a successful conference, and both their reputations."

On Your Honour is the second play to be produced by Double Honours Productions at Jermyn Street Theatre and follows the success of Audience with Murder in 2006, which was recently published by Samuel French. Colin Wakefield and Roger Leach wrote both plays as well as a further piece entitled Double or Twin. Wakefield is a former law lecturer who is now an actor as well as a writer, having most recently played Judge Turpin in the award-winning West End revival of Sweeney Todd. With composer Kate Edgar he wrote eight traditional pantomimes for Salisbury Playhouse and three family musicals for Winchester Theatre Royal. Nine of these have been published.  Leach enjoyed an illustrious stage and TV career and was perhaps best known as Sergeant Penny in The Bill, a role he played for six years.

Produced by Double Honours Productions in association with Theatre Maketa, On Your Honour by Colin Wakefield and Roger Leach is directed by Colin Wakefield with design by Colin Mayes and lighting and sound design by Nick Kidd. The cast comprises Alister Cameron, Philip Childs, Edward Fulton, Greg Gillespie, Leda Hodgson, Luciana Lawlor, Stan Pretty and Janet Rawson.
