There are only six weeks left to see Mike Bartlett's critically acclaimed new play, King Charles III directed by Rupert Goold. The play's West End run, which began at the Wyndham's Theatre on 2nd September, was extended by 9 weeks due to popular demand and ends on 31st January 2015.

King Charles III has received glowing reviews from critics and audiences since opening at the Almeida Theatre in April and transferring to the West End. The play has been seen by over 90,000 people and recouped its full production costs at the Wyndham's in eight weeks.

The Queen is dead: after a lifetime of waiting, the prince ascends the throne. A future of power. But how to rule?

Mike Bartlett's play explores the people underneath the crowns, the unwritten rules of our democracy, and the conscience of Britain's most famous family.

The Almeida Theatre production of King Charles III is produced in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions, Stuart Thompson Productions and the Almeida Theatre in association with Lee Dean & Charles Diamond and Tulchin Bartner Productions.
