Theatr Clwyd Will Live Stream the World Premiere of HOME I'M DARLING

As part of the previously announced pilot project with Anglo-Danish technology company, Streamer, Theatr Clwyd today announces that Home, I'm Darling, their current world premiere co-production with the National Theatre, will be the theatre's first live streaming.

On Wednesday 4 July, at 4.45pm there will be a Live Chat with Tamara Harvey, director of Home, I'm Darling and cast members Katherine Parkinson and Richard Harrington with an audience of Theatr Clwyd Members in the Emlyn Williams Theatre. This will be streamed live on Theatr Clwyd's Facebook and You Tube platforms and is a chance to delve behind the gingham curtains and perfectly pinned curls to hear behind-the-scenes stories and insights into the creation and production of this dark comedy about sex, cake and the quest to be the perfect 1950s housewife by Laura Wade.

Following on from this, the show will be live streamed into three local care homes on Saturday 14 July. This is part of the theatre's wider community engagement programme, which aims to develop the use of live streaming to reach a wider, even global audience for the theatre's work.

Live Streaming at Theatr Clwyd is a joint pilot project with Anglo-Danish technology company, Streamer. They have developed a product that easily enables online broadcasts to be created with professional quality and be received by anyone watching on a tablet, smartphone or computer. Audiences can watch on Wednesday via Facebook/TheatrClwyd or http://bit.ly/HomeImDarling-LiveChat.
