THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG Extends West End Booking Period to May 2020

The Play That Goes Wrong, the Olivier Award-winning box office hit, against all odds today announces a new booking period with tickets going on sale until 3rd May 2020.

Awarded the 2014 Best New Comedy, the 2015 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy and a Tony award for the Broadway transfer,The Play That Goes Wrong continues to delight audiences in the West End. The remarkable rags-to-riches story shows no signs of slowing down for a play which started its life at a London fringe venue with only four paying customers at the first performance. Since then, it has played to an audience of over two million.

The company is completed by David Kristopher Brown, Liam Horrigan, Matthew Howell, Louisa Sexton and Laura White.

Mischief Theatre was founded in 2008 by a group of graduates of The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and began as an improvised comedy group. Mischief Theatre performs across the UK and internationally with improvised and original scripted work. Their other production The Comedy About A Bank Robbery is currently at the Criterion Theatre and on a national UK tour whilst The Play That Goes Wrong has been on a national UK tour and has recently completed a two year run on Broadway. The company is led by Artistic Director Henry Lewis and Company Director Jonathan Sayer.

This year Mischief Theatre will take over the Vaudeville theatre with a season of new work from September 2019, opening with new comedy Groan Ups, followed by Magic Goes Wrong and a further production to be announced in due course.

The 2018-19 US Tour of The Play That Goes Wrong opened in September 2018 in Lexington, Kentucky and is running for 42 weeks.

The off-Broadway production of The Play That Goes Wrong is running at New World Stages in New York, currently booking through to 24th November 2019.
