Julian Ovenden was one of the stars performing in the special 'Sir Tim Rice: A Life In Song' concert, broadcast on the BBC this Christmas. He sang 'Anthem' from the musical Chess.

Earlier this year at London's Royal Festival Hall, as part of the Songwriter Series produced by leading independent promoter Senbla, the life and work of one of our most admired and celebrated lyricists, Sir Tim Rice took place where a superstar guest line up paid tribute in front of a sell out crowd, hosted by Lord Michael Grade alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Mike Dixon. As one of the live events of the year, highlights of the show included Rufus Wainwright performing Don't Cry for Me, Argentina, Tony-award winning singer-songwriter Tim Minchin performing Heaven on Their Minds from Jesus Christ Superstar, Tom Chaplin of Keane with a stunning rendition of Can You Feel the Love Tonight. Folk superstar Seth Lakeman performed the classic Any Dream Will Do and Rob Brydon showed off his incredible vocal with It's Easy For You, Rice's only song penned for Elvis Presley.
