A snappy event is scheduled at the Pigalle Club in Picadilly on Sunday September 20, when the New Musicals Network will present its official charity launch party/cabaret in aid of Mercury Musical Developments and the Actors' Benevolent Fund.

Snappy Title, which will be compered by composer George Stiles and lyricist Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins, Honk!, Just So), will serve its audience a platter of new songs from a number of new musicals, including Austentatious (the acclaimed new show with a score by Matt Board & Joe Slabe that delighted audiences at the Landor Theatre earlier this year); Only The Brave (the Matt Brind/Steve Coleman World War 2 epic that premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008); My Land's Shore (a musical set around the Merthyr Rising of 1831 with a score by young composer Christopher J. Orton, which had its concert premiere in Cardiff in 2007); and various others.

The stellar cast list of Snappy Title includes:

Sabrina Aloueche (Les Miserables, We Will Rock You)

Julie Atherton (Fame, Avenue Q, The Last Five Years)

Lucy May Barker (Spring Awakening)

Gerard Bentall (Les Miserables)

Jon Boydon (The Rocky Horror Show, Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You)

Richard Dempsey (Into The Woods, Fame, Dirty Dancing)

Cassidy Janson (Tick Tick Boom, Austentatious, Wicked)

Lucy Mills (Austentatious)

Michael Peavoy (Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year)

Verity Quade (Les Miserables, The Sound Of Music, Sister Act)

New Musicals Network is a website devoted to publicising and promoting new musical theatre and Snappy Title will be its first official venture.
